PPO Plan (Preferred Provider Organization) - The PPO plans give you the freedom to visit any provider who's right for you. You don't need to choose a primary care physician (PCP) and you don't need a referral to see a specialist such as an acupuncturist like us.

HMO Plan (Health Maintenance Organization) - HMO plan means you have to visit your selected primary doctor first for any health problems. If she or he can not fix your problems successfully, your will be referred to visit the specialists. Get a referral from your primary doctor to visit us, we will do all the paper work and your cost is nothing.

POS Plan (Point-of-Service) - This is a HMO plan offering an indemnity-type option. The primary care doctors in a POS plan usually make referrals to other providers in the plan. But in a POS plan, members can refer themselves outside the plan and still get some coverage. If the doctor makes a referral out of the network, the plan pays all or most of the bill. If you refer yourself to a provider outside the network and the service is covered by the plan, you will have to pay coinsurance.

EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization) - An EPO is similar to an HMO, except that it is regulated by the California Department of Insurance and generally pays physicians and other healthcare providers differently. EPOs will only cover your expenses if you see a physician that is in the EPO's network, unless it is an emergency.
